About Chef Dawn

At 40, Chef Dawn Knowlton made a life-changing career move.

She left a career in the financial industry to pursue a lifelong wish to become a chef!

Chef Dawn

Encouraged by her friends and family, she enrolled at El Centro College, where she acquired classical cooking techniques. Those techniques, along with experience gained through her work in the financial industry, culminated into opening her own business in 2010, Pressed for Thyme Personal Chef Service. This allowed her to extend her love for creating delicious family dining experiences to others.

Several years later, Chef Dawn was offered a position as a private caterer for a special events center in Corsicana, Texas. This was a very exciting time for her. She commuted regularly from North Dallas to Corsicana and she learned a whole different side of the food service industry during this time.

She has now come full circle, and in April 2016 she returns to her first passion, as a personal chef, bringing fresh, wholesome meals to her clients’ dinner tables once again.

Chef Dawn believes that food should feed both the body and the soul, and the simple act of sharing time and conversation with friends and family over a meal is one of life’s most precious gifts.

How it Works

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
